1. Operator and scope

This website is operated and maintained by 株式会社シンフォルテ (Synforte Inc., Japan), which administers the publication infrastructure and website operations for Social Ground Truth Lab (SGT Lab).

The website provides access to research publications, issue records, methodology documentation, data-access policies, and other materials published under the SGT Lab name.

Use of this website is subject to these Terms of Use together with any publication-specific license, citation notice, revision notice, or other conditions expressly stated on the applicable material.

2. Descriptive and non-normative nature

SGT Lab research materials are intended as descriptive, non-normative evidence. They report observed self-reported responses, distributions, measurement conditions, and related contextual information.

Published findings do not determine that a technology, behavior, practice, or condition is socially acceptable, unacceptable, appropriate, or inappropriate.

SGT Lab does not provide legal, regulatory, compliance, certification, audit, assurance, technical, investment, policy, or other professional advice through this website.

3. Publication records and versions

SGT Lab publications may be identified by issue identifiers, publication revision numbers, measurement specification identifiers, publication dates, and permanent URLs.

Users should cite and interpret materials according to the specific version referenced.

Corrections and material explanatory updates are documented through issue records and/or Errata & Corrections .

4. Copyright and applicable licenses

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in website content are held by Synforte Inc., SGT Lab, and/or their respective licensors, except where a specific license or other rights notice states otherwise.

Publication-specific licenses take precedence. Where a white paper, figure, table, or other published material is expressly identified as being provided under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), reuse of that material is governed by the terms of that license.

Materials expressly released under CC BY 4.0 may be reused, redistributed, or adapted subject to the attribution and other requirements of the applicable license.

Logos, marks, trademarks, visual identity elements, and any materials expressly excluded from a stated license are not included in that license unless specifically stated otherwise.

Content that is not expressly released under an open license remains subject to applicable copyright law and any permissions or limitations stated on the relevant page.

5. Citation and attribution

When citing or reusing SGT Lab research, users should preserve sufficient information to identify the source and version, including the publication title, issue or revision identifier where applicable, and the source URL.

Where a figure or table includes a Fig. ID, source line, or suggested citation, those identifiers should be preserved where reasonably practicable.

Reuse or adaptation must not falsely imply that SGT Lab or Synforte Inc. endorses the user, the adapted work, a product, service, policy position, or conclusion.

6. Adapted or modified materials

Where modification or adaptation is permitted by an applicable license, users are responsible for clearly distinguishing their modifications from the original SGT Lab publication.

Modified materials must not be represented as an original or unchanged SGT Lab publication, dataset, figure, or conclusion.

7. Research artifacts and controlled materials

Public release of a white paper does not imply unrestricted public availability of underlying datasets, questionnaire source materials, operational records, controlled documentation, or other research artifacts.

8. No warranties

Content is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Research findings are subject to the limitations, sampling conditions, measurement assumptions, and interpretation notes described in the relevant publications and Methodology .

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Synforte Inc. makes no warranty that website content is complete, error-free, suitable for a particular purpose, or sufficient for a particular decision.

9. Limitation of liability

Users are responsible for their own interpretation and use of SGT Lab materials.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Synforte Inc. shall not be liable for losses or damages arising from reliance on or use of this website or its content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent that such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

This website may contain links to third-party websites. SGT Lab and Synforte Inc. do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, terms, or privacy practices of those external websites.

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in publication practices, licensing, website operation, or applicable requirements. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest revision.

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
